This is probably one of the hardest blows our planet will get because of two very important issues at bay, environment and economic crises. European leaders are putting their heads together to try to save the world. For years, the fight against environmental degradation seem futile. The world is getting warmer and warmer and water level is continually rising causing fear that some island countries will be submerged under water. As if that is not enough to “punish” the earth’s inhabitants, many developed countries like the US and UK are facing economic recession and there are fears of impending economic depression.
However, there is a contradicting report against Global warming that I have just read recently regarding the sun getting aligned to the black hole sometime in 2012 which some believe might cause a mini ice age. I guess the movie “The Great Global Warming Swindle” is true after all.

I was watching a movie clip about the great global warming swindle and I was surprised at how the media has deceived us. Sometime last year I have already heard my friend talk about natural cause of the global warming. We have always been told as far as I can possibly remember that our reckless use of recyclable and reusable materials is one of the major cause of global warming. Uses of aerosols or hairsprays, Refrigerators containing CFC or chloroflourocarbon are said to cause the depletion of ozone layer and many more.
All over the media you see tips on how to care for the environment. Factories are also trying to make their products more environmentally friendly.
Although I have nothing against these things it’s the fraud they have overly over emphasized that WE are causing the global warming. But it does not mean that I don’t care anymore of my actions toward environment and green living. I still uphold the golden rule of Reuse, Reduce and Recycle to help in my small ways our forest. I really think we should focus more on preserving our forest for deforestation can cause real damage to us like floods and landslides.

This week my husband is sharing a car with his colleague at work. With the current economic situation and the present ecological issue that’s been beseting us, I think carpooling is one of the best things to reduce CO2 emission and help make this world a better place. It’s true the damage we and our successors have done is way to much to solve in just a matter of few years but at least we can stop contributing to its rapid advancement.
Here in Norwich they are encouraging people to use the bus instead of everyone driving. But sometimes bus is not cheap. With carpooling, people spend less petrol, less traffic and most of all less pollution or CO2 emissions.
Let’s go green, let’s carpool!
