Woolworth’s closing down sale
Last Friday, December 12, I went to Woolworth while hubby renewed his driver’s license next door. I didn’t know it was the start of their closing-down sale. For costumers, it is really a welcome treat on this time of the year, Christmas, especially in the midst of a financial crisis across the country. But for Woolworth and their staff, it is the most unwelcome fact.
Well, I managed to find a couple of really useful items that I had been wanting to buy for months, a laundry bag for sensitive clothing, a CD and player case, and a CD marker.
I was a little confused though because there was a section that is not on discounted, not even 5% off. I kept thinking if they will sell them to another shop in bulk rather than selling it one by one to shoppers.
Anyway, it’s really sad that one of Britain’s oldest establishment is closing down.
