just thinking out loud

I went to buy broccoli today and even if it looked clean outside I checked every fibre for any animal clinging to the lush and nutritious flowers. And when I cut them in smaller pieces I found insects that looked like lice on the head. I knew it!

I have had hated broccolis and cauliflowers for many years now because everytime I ordered food with cauliflower I always spot tiny worms and it’s just disgusting. I thought broccolis were not attractive to worms. Yes that’s true. But they also host pest and parasites that requires a whole day get rid of all of them.

As I washed the broccoli I bought I had to tear it in tiny pieces so that I could get rid of the insects. But after 30 minutes of rinsing them and always finding tiny animals floating on the water I got fed up. But I vow never to buy broccoli again. Ever!
